Chilliest November night on record for parts of TAS

Towns throughout eastern and central Tasmania experienced one of their coldest November nights on record, according to weatherzone.com.au.

Last night a slim ridge of high pressure brought partly clear skies and light winds to the island state, allowing minimums to dip up to 10 degrees below average in some places, particularly the highlands.

Bushy Park, in central TAS, chilled all the way down to minus one overnight, nine below average and the coldest November night in 70 years of records. It was also the coldest night in two months.

Closer to the coast, Cape Grim had its coldest November night in 12 years of records, dipping to four degrees.

Thankfully, tonight looks to be a little bit warmer as cloud cover builds again, but should still see minimums stay a few degrees below the November average.
