30 Degree week for Sydney

30 Degree week for Sydney
After a string of hot days over the past 3 weeks, Sydney could be in for a run of 30 plus degree days this week. If heat isn't your thing, this may not be the news you would like to hear, as a 30 degree day or hotter is on the cards each day from Tuesday to Saturday this week. That would total 5 days of the mercury exceeding 30 degrees, something which hasn't happened since 2011. Back in 2011 Sydney endured a run of 7 consecutive days over 31 degrees, with 5 of these topping over 33 degrees. Whilst this week doesn't look to be quite that extreme, it is still a significant spell of heat. There have been a number of 3 day runs exceeding 30 degrees in the last decade, with 4 instances of 4 days runs, in 2009, 2011, 2016 and then 2017. Whilst this week might be the perfect weather to head to the beach, just remember to Slip, Slop, Slap and stay hydrated.
