Rain works its way around the states

Rain works its way around the states
Good news for all those in South Australia, Victoria and New South Wales who have been waiting on the rain. From Thursday, a moisture-packed northwest cloud band will be making its way around the states. SA will be its first stop with a solid band of rain stretching over western and central agricultural regions, bringing widespread falls of 10-20mm. Promising rainfall is likely over the West Coast which has only seen 10-20% of April's average rain so far. On Friday, the rain will stretch over central and eastern agricultural areas of SA, western VIC and southwestern parts of NSW. The heaviest falls are likely to be north of Renmark in SA, the northern border region in the Mallee and the Lower Western district of NSW, bringing isolated falls of up to 50mm. Parts of the Southern Tablelands and the ACT will also see healthy totals 15-25mm. On Saturday, the band will take a northwest-southeast orientation. Falls are likely from western through to parts of central NSW and extending into the southeast and VIC's Northeast district. By Sunday, eastern NSW and parts of QLD will get their turn, accompanied with strong southerly winds.
