About ACCESS Global
Australian Community Climate and Earth-System Simulator (ACCESS). Based upon the UK Met Office Unified Model system. ACCESS G is the global numerical forecast model operated by the BoM. It is run twice daily (00Z and 12Z) and provides forecast data out to 240 hours with a horizontal resolution of 25km and 70 vertical levels.
A heatwave is continuing to grip parts of central and southern Queensland but a sea breeze has provided a reprieve for Brisbane.
A burst of hazy heat enveloped Sydney on Friday, with temperatures just not letting up well into the evening.
Temperatures will remain above 40 degrees Celsius in parts of central and southern Queensland until at least Wednesday next week, the Bureau of Meterology (BOM) warns.
