Coastal Waters Wind Warning
For waters between the WA border and the Queensland border.
Issued at 11:00 pm CST on Thursday 23 May 2013

Synoptic situation
A strong high [1030 hPa] in the Great Australian Bight is expected to strengthen
during the next couple of days as it moves east, causing southeast winds to
intensify over all coastal waters.

Strong Wind Warning
For waters between the WA border and the Queensland Border
Southeast winds 15/25 knots, increasing to 25/30 knots during tomorrow morning.
Winds easing below 25 knots temporarily inshore during the afternoon. Seas
rising to 3 metres on a 2 metre swell.

These conditions should then last for about 24 to 36 hours.

The next warning will be issued by 5:00 am CST.

Please be aware
Wind gusts can be a further 40 percent stronger than the averages given here,
and maximum waves may be up to twice the height.
