The monsoon trough and moist, unstable air will generate showers & storms across the tropics. Onshore winds will cause showers and storms over southwest WA, northeast NSW and eastern QLD. Building high pressure over the southeast will ease winds and cloud cover.

The monsoon trough and moist, unstable air will generate rain & storms across the tropics. Other troughs should help trigger showers and some storms over parts of southwest WA, TAS, east VIC, east NSW and central/eastern QLD, while maintaining heat ahead of them.

The monsoon trough and moist, unstable air will generate showers & storms across the tropics. Other troughs should help trigger showers and some storms over large parts of WA, northeast NSW and eastern QLD. A weak front should bring showers to southern TAS.

A low and troughs in the west should generate heavy rain, showers and storms. The monsoon trough in the north will produce rain and storms. Another trough in the southeast will draw a hot airmass across the region. High pressure should keep TAS settled.

The monsoon trough should continue to bring heavy showers and storms over the tropical north and into northern WA. A cold front and trough may generate showers and storms over WA and SA. Troughs should draw heat over the southeast. Onshore winds may bring showers to the QLD coast

Tropical Cyclone Kimi has intensified to a category two as it moves south, with a Cyclone Watch now declared to Bowen.
