Lines of severe storms hitting SA, with more dangerous weather on the way

Several lines of heavy rain and severe thunderstorms are moving over southern districts of SA this morning, kicking off two days of dangerous weather in southern Australia.

Severe thunderstorms hit South Australia, causing widespread damage

Lightning, giant hail and heavy rains have hit parts of South Australia, causing flash flooding and damage across the state.  A severe thunderstorm warning for the Adelaide region has been cancelled, but a severe weather warning for damaging winds remains in place for most of the state.  Bureau of Meteorology South Australia forecaster Jenny Horvat said the wild weather began yesterday.
