After a run of mild days with temperatures close to average for this time of year, Perth will get a brief burst of warmth to start the week.

East-to-northeasterly winds will filter over the Perth area on Monday and Tuesday, drawing a warmer airmass from inland over the city. With a forecast of 27 and 29 degrees respectively at the time of writing, it would be the first time the city has recorded two days, consecutive or otherwise, over 27 degrees in a month since May.

It isn't however the warmest day of the season so far, with the mercury at the metro observation station reaching just over 30 degrees on a single day last month.

Whilst it's early days, there are signs of more significant heat building in around a week's time, at this stage coinciding with a the weekend, rather than the week days of the upcoming warmth this week.
