Another foggy start for Brisbane

Another foggy start for Brisbane
Flights were diverted from Brisbane Airport this morning as fog once again shrouded southeast Queensland. Air and road traffic had trouble navigating in the thick fog, which hung around well into the morning and has become a familiar sight for locals this week. Visibility has been reduced to 1000 metres or lower at Brisbane Airport on three of the last four mornings and dropped down to 200m at 6:30am today. A stubborn high pressure ridge over southeast Queensland has caused light winds during the last few mornings, which has helped fog develop. Despite the gloomy start, Brisbane is enjoying a warm and sunny day today now that the fog has burnt off.
