The hemispheric long wave pattern has been relatively fast moving in recent weeks. There are four main troughs. Currently the most significant troughs are near the longitudes of South Africa, Western Australia, the south Pacific, and the southeast Pacific.
Summary:
Over southern and eastern Australia the cold front events with potential to bring widespread rain are now expected about 6 November to 10 November, 17 November to 21 November, and 1 December to 5 December. Rain events originating in the tropics and moving south are possible about 11 November to 15 November, 18 November to 22 November, and 25 November to 29 November.
Over Western Australia the strongest cold fronts should occur about 6 November to 10 November, 18 November to 22 November, and 29 November to 3 December.
