Final Flood Warning for the Werribee River at Werribee and Ballan.

REISSUE to update heading.

The Werribee River catchment has received rainfall averaging less than 1 mm
since 09:00 AM yesterday (Sunday 19 August 2012). No significant rainfalls
have been forecast for the catchment today.

The water level of the Werribee River at Balan is currently at 0.91 metres
[minor flood level = 1.2 metres] and falling.

The water level of the Werribee River at Wyndham Vale is currently at 0.61
metres and falling.

The water level of the Werribee River at Werribee (Cottrell Street ford) is
currently at 1.57 metres [minor flood level = 2.7 metres] and falling.

Water levels of the Werribee River at other locations are also falling to their
normal levels.

The water levels at 12:03 on 20/08/2012 were:

Lerderderg River at Lerderderg: 0.44m, falling,
Werribee River at Ballan: 0.91m, falling,
Werribee River at Bacchus Marsh: 0.55m, falling,
Parwan Creek at Parwan: 0.50m, steady
Toolern Creek at Melton South: 0.39m, falling
Melton Reservoir Tail Gauge: 0.93m, falling,
Werribee River at Wyndham Vale: 0.61m
Werribee River at Werribee (Cottrell Street ford): 1.57m

In the interests of community safety the SES suggests following precautions:
Don't walk, ride or drive through floodwater,
Don't allow children to play in floodwater,
Stay away from waterways and stormwater drains, and
Keep well clear of fallen power lines
