Queenslanders have awoken to survey the full extent of Tropical Cyclone Debbie's destruction.
Damage from Cyclone Debbie has cut all roads to the north Queensland towns of Bowen, Airlie Beach and Proserpine, but there have been no reports of injury from Daydream Island in the Whitsundays, Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said this morning.
When Cyclone Yasi devastated parts of North Queensland in 2011, the rains it brought with it took out about 20 million tonnes of coking coal production.
