Snow Resort Cams - Weather Now

Alpine 14 Day Weather Commentary

Almost ski resorts have experienced stunning day today under a clear skies and in mild temperatures.

Skies will stay mostly clear through the remainder of this week with light winds, allowing overnight temperatures to fall below freezing (good for snow making almost every night) but days to warm above average due to a strong ridge of high pressure. This will make for comfortable conditions.

On Monday 1st/Tuesday 2nd September a cold front will impact, bringing rain then snow, most likely the last decent snow of the season. It should get cold fairly quickly so there should be as much snow as rain. Snow should be heaviest in Victoria, where there is a better chance of picking up more than 20cm. On Tuesday 2nd snow showers should clear from Victoria but last a bit longer in NSW.

Some models have a front impacting from Thursday 4th to Saturday 6th, bringing rain then snow, so there is potential for a top up heading into the first weekend of spring. Another front is next due on about the 9th/10th
