Cloud over WA with a complex low and front is generating heavy rain and thunderstorms. Low cloud over southern VIC and TAS in the wake of a cold front is producing the odd light shower. Patchy cloud on the northern QLD coast with moist onshore winds is producing light showers.
Weather forecasters are predicting snow across Tasmania over the weekend and possible snow in Hobart for the first time since 1986.
