Speckled cloud in the southwest with a front is causing showers and isolated storms. Patchy cloud over northern parts with a trough is triggering the odd shower and storm. Skies are generally clear over central parts under a high pressure ridge.
Tropical Cyclone Debbie remains on track to be a severe category four cyclone when it makes landfall, with the system forecast to cross the coast on Tuesday morning somewhere between Lucinda, north of Townsville, and an area north of Mackay.
Tropical Cyclone Debbie continues to strengthen over the Coral Sea as Queensland residents prepare for destructive weather in the days ahead.
