Cloud across the northern tropics in moist, unstable air is generating heavy showers and storms. Cloud spreading south in WA and the NT along troughs are causing patchy rain and storms. Mostly sunny elsewhere in dry winds which are becoming hot in SA, VIC, TAS and western NSW.
