Scattered cloud over the Top End, northern and western QLD and southeast NSW with a trough is causing showers and storms. Low cloud over eastern QLD in onshore winds is producing a few showers. Cloud crossing southern VIC and TAS near a weak front is bringing the odd shower.

The Federal Government has introduced legislation to overhaul the Farm Management Deposits scheme, which it says will help farmers to help themselves.
