Cloud forming over southwest QLD, northwest NSW and SA in a deepening trough is causing widespread thunderstorms. Masses of cloud over WA, the NT and north QLD in moist unstable air are generating rain and storms, heaviest in WA. Cloud pushing into TAS is introducing rain.
