Cloud about the Top end and Gulf of Carpentaria coast with a low pressure trough is generating a few showers. Cloud over southern parts with a weak trough is producing light isolated showers. Generally clear skies elsewhere under a ridge of high pressure.
The 2016 snow season has reached a new peak depth this week according to measurements taken today.
