How to use Pollen Tracker

  1. The Pollen Tracker

    The Pollen Tracker sits on your desktop wherever you choose. The temperature will also appear in your taskbar. Right clicking on the application gives an option panel that allows you to change how the Tracker looks and behaves.

    Installation

    Please ensure that you do not have the pollen tracker application running during the installation of the new version.

    After clicking on either the PC or Mac download option, you will be asked to either "run" or "save" the file. Choose "run" which will take you to the Tracker Setup Wizard. This may take a few minutes depending on your connection speed.

    Follow the prompts to finish the installation. The Tracker will launch a preferences panel for you to enter your location or postcode plus setup any alerts. A shortcut icon will be added to the desktop and the taskbar temp will display.

    Click on preferences from the options panel or on the location name to set your preferences for:
    • Window behaviour
      1. Position Normally
      2. Always on Top
      3. Always on Bottom
    • Update frequency
      1. 10 minutes
      2. 20 minutes
      3. 60 minutes
      4. Pause Updating
    • Interface colour
      1. Weatherzone
      2. Black
      3. Blue
      4. Green
      5. Lime
      6. Purple
      7. Red
      8. Sea Green
      9. Smokey
      10. White
    • Interface transparency
    • System tray background colour
      1. Transparent
      2. White
      3. Black
    • System Tray Text Colour
    • Show minimum temperature
    • Show weather warnings
      1. Temperature below
      2. Wind below
      3. Temperature above
      4. Wind above
      5. Rainfall above
    • Location/Postcode changer
      1. 16 000+ available locations
     
  4. Pollen Tracker Weather Display

    The Pollen Tracker can be placed anywhere on the desktop and in its compact form, displays the current temperature in degrees C plus today's forecast minimum and maximum temperatures.

    Place the cursor over the large weather icon for a display of all the current conditions for your location.
     
  5. Pollen Tracker More Weather

    To expand the Pollen Tracker and access more information, click on the down arrows, one under the large temperature number and the other next to 'MORE WEATHER'.

    The expanded weather option gives you a total 7 day forecast, with icons and maximum temperatures. 'MORE WEATHER' lets you access satellite, radar, a local weather page, warnings and marine weather linking through to www.weatherzone.com.au.

  6. Uninstall

    To uninstall the Pollen Tracker you can do any of the following
    1. Start -> All Programs -> Weatherzone Tracker -> uninstall, or
    2. C:Program Files\Weatherzone Tracker\ or where you chose to install it. Open the file "unins000", or
    3. Start -> Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs -> Pollen Tracker, then click the remove button.
