Wintry showers in Tasmania
Much colder air will be introduced across the Apple Isle early next week, as a strong cold front sweeps across the southeast.
The airmass will be cold enough for showers to fall as snow over highland areas of Tasmania by Tuesday, with at least a few centimetres likely in places. Snow could be observed as low as about 700m above sea level.
The cold snap will be short lived, as winds begin to turn northwesterly on Wednesday, which will draw milder air across the region.
