The cold snap is continuing to benefit the Victorian Alpine region.

It rained on the mountains today, but there is still alot of snow from falls yesterday.

Snow Reporter Maureen Gearon says the low temperatures have allowed snow to be made at most of the mountain resorts.

"Got a bit of drizzle about the mountains this morning, moderate to strong winds, they might reach gale force a bit later, but then ease off, but we've got more lifts opening thanks to the snow we had yesterday."
