Wet week to come for Tassie
A succession of fronts will bring some hefty falls of rain to parts of Tasmania next week.
Quite a few rain gauges in Tasmania's Western and North West Coast districts could collect over 100mm between Tuesday and Friday.
The Central North and parts of the North East should also expect some wet weather at times, with accumulations of 50-70mm looking likely here.
From the upcoming weeks rainfall, Launceston has a good chance of exceeding its long term average July rainfall (78mm), with another 37mm being required to do so.
Further south and east, next week will be less wet, due in part to the sheltering effect from the Central Highlands.
In contrast, Hobart should see around 10-20mm and probably will not gain more than its July average rainfall by the end of next week.
