Wet and windy for WA
A significant frontal system will impact large parts of Western Australia early next week.
Conditions will deteriorate through Monday, with the most intense weather looking to occur on Tuesday, before improving from the west during Wednesday.
Event rainfall totals of 25-50mm are expected over the western half of the state. The heaviest falls looking to occur in the South West and over northeastern parts of the Gascoyne and Pilbara, where localised falls in excess of 100 mm are possible.
Winds should gust to about 90 km/h over coastal parts in the west - possibly as much as 100 km/h.
The strongest of the winds will blow from the north, which is an unusual direction for the coastline between Geraldton and Exmouth, so infrastructure here may be more prone to damage.
There is a high degree of model uncertainty regarding the exact timing and intensity of the system, so keep up to date with the latest forecast.
