West coast of Australia the place to be this weekend

West coast of Australia the place to be this weekend
West coast of Australia the place to be this weekend With cold and stormy weather affecting the southern and southeastern parts of the country in coming days, while residual flooding and strong winds still plague the east, it looks like the best beach weather can be found along the west coast. A high pressure system is currently moving in over the southwest of the country in the wake of a cold front, leading to offshore circulation over the west coast and generally fine and settled conditions. Ironically, Severe Tropical Cyclone Eddie currently situated to the northwest of the state is diverting moisture away from the trough along the west coast, contributing significantly to the clear skies over the region. Temperatures should remain in the mid twenties between Perth and Lancelin, reaching up to 29 in Geraldton today. On Sunday, temperatures should range in the upper twenties to low thirties across the west coast and adjacent interior, with barely a cloud in sight. Winds should remain strong today along the Gascoyne and Geraldton Coasts today, but are set to calm significantly by Sunday.
