The clean-up is continuing after the wild weather that hit Sydney and the New South Wales south and central coasts yesterday.
The State Emergency Service (SES) has received more than 800 calls for help to repair damage caused by the gale force winds and is now working through the last hundred calls.
SES volunteers have been working in areas of Sydney and the Illawarra overnight to remove fallen trees and repair roofs.
It seems while strong winds and heavy rain have buffeted the coastline, fears of flooding around the Bega and Moruya rivers have been allayed with a flood watch warning for both now cancelled.
The Bureau of Meteorology is still warning of hazardous winds and large swells but says the possibility of flash flooding is unlikely.
Weather conditions are expected to ease as a low pressure system moves out to sea this afternoon.
Energy providers say power has been restored to homes in the areas hit by storms.
Almost 30,000 electricity customers lost power at one point.
