The State Emergency Service has responded to more than 60 calls for help across Victoria overnight because of high winds and rain.
Crews were called out to clear fallen trees from roads and properties, and to repair damaged roofs.
Allan Briggs from the S-E-S says more rain and strong winds are expected.
He says the winds are forecast to reach more than 100 kilometres per hour.
Mr Briggs says householders and businesses should be prepared.
"Secure loose items like children's furniture and outdoor furniture like outdoor heaters and umbrellas, chairs and tables," he said.
"Take care when you're parking your vehicle, if possible, not to park it under large trees which could drop limbs."
