The wet is set for New South Wales
There is a saying 'that all good must come to an end', this also applies to the sunny weather that NSW has experienced over the past few days.
Kicking off in western NSW, a low pressure trough will work its way through some of the driest parts of the state during Wednesday, with showers stretching from Collarenebri to Cabramurra. Most parts of the Upper Western have seen less than ten millimetres of rain this month. For a majority of these places, the rain gauge has not been needed for the last two weeks. Showers are picked to be heaviest from Wilcannia to Ivanhoe, with isolated falls up to 50mm possible.
As the trough shifts east during Thursday, it will be time for central and eastern parts of the state to turn to the gumboots and umbrellas. Falls will be heaviest throughout the southern and central ranges, with some places picking up around 20-30mm. Showers and storms will push through to the coast during Thursday afternoon with falls in the region of 10-20mm.
Lighter showers will linger mainly about the coast and adjacent areas on Friday and Saturday with the clear skies and warmer temperatures returning statewide on Sunday.
