Strong winds push into NSW and QLD
Josh Fisher

The strong winds that have been affecting South Australia and Victoria for the past few days have pushed through New South Wales and into Queensland today. Strong and gusty southwesterlies behind a front also brought colder air into southeastern QLD.
In Sydney wind gusts reached up to 67km/h and further west Katoomba received a gust of 87km/h. Into Queensland, Brisbane Airport saw gusts up to 69km/h and further north in Townsville, which had a gust of 56km/h.
In NSW the strong winds brought colder temperatures with freezing rain in Orange and snow reported in the Blue Mountains. For Brisbane, the winds helped to push out the dust and pollution haze they had on Thursday.
Winds will continue to be gusty until Sunday when a high pushes the system away.
