Cool change for South Australia

Rob Sharpe, Saturday September 22, 2012 - 20:21 EST

A fresh southerly wind change is spreading inland SA dropping temperatures back to average.

Earlier on Saturday a severe weather warning had been issued for damaging winds in South Australia. Wind gusts of around 75km/h were recorded at Wudinna Airport and Ceduna.

The strong winds were caused by a trough moving through South Australia. This trough also brought isolated thunderstorms to the West Coast.

Winds have eased in the course of the afternoon and evening and the warning has been cancelled.
