Spectacular day for Darwin Cup

Spectacular day for Darwin Cup
The sun is out for Darwin's favorite event on the social calendar. Light winds and clear skies will bring a stunning day for those heading out to the races today. The mercury will hit the low 30's again, making it a steamy day for those who intend to suit up for the event, especially those wearing polyester. Due to high UV, it is also a reminder that sunscreen needs to be liberally applied throughout the day. Thankfully the organisers have chosen the right day to host the final race event. Last Monday the mercury shot up to 34.4 degrees, making it the warmest it has been at this time of year in five years. From Tuesday, the southeasterly winds will begin to strengthen as a high pressure ridge in the south builds. Mornings are will be a touch cooler for the next few days but days will remain warm and mostly sunny in the low thirties throughout this week.
