Soggy set of days for SA
Areas of rain and storms are sweeping across South Australia today likely to reach Adelaide this afternoon.
Rain won't be too heavy with just a widespread 3-8mm. The heaviest rain will occur with thunderstorms this afternoon where there is the risk of 10-15mm along the Eyre and Yorke Peninsulas.
In western parts of SA there have already been over 150 lightning strikes, clustered mainly along the West Coast and Eastern Eyre Peninsula. Storms will spread across the state later today extending as far east as the Mount Lofty Ranges this evening.
The reason for the rain and storms today is a pre-frontal trough moving across the state. Tomorrow a cold front will bring a cool burst with gusty westerly winds. Southeastern parts could see up to 20mm of rain. Thunderstorms will become a risk for eastern districts tomorrow, most likely from the evening.
Conditions will begin to ease on Wednesday where showers will contract to the coast in moist southerlies before mostly dry conditions return by Thursday.
