Severe weather warning as 'vigorous' cold front approaches Victoria's westMonday August 5, 2013 - 14:42 EST
The Weather Bureau has issued a as a cold front approaches the state's west.
The front is expected to deliver wind gusts of up to 100 km/h in parts of the south west, especially in elevated areas.
Thunderstorms are also forecast for areas along the coast.
The damaging winds warning is for people in the North East, South West, Central, West and South Gippsland and East Gippsland forecast districts.
The Bureau of Meteorology warns alpine areas are likely to be affected as the moves eastwards.
