SE Qld records high rain falls

There has been welcome rain across parts of the south-east Queensland catchment.

Wivenhoe Dam and Esk have recorded 20 millimetres since the rain started overnight.

The highest falls have been 59 millimetres on the Gold Coast hinterland, and many Brisbane suburbs have recorded more than 40 millimetres.

Minister not surprised Wivenhoe accounts differ
