Heavy rain at the weekend has caused only minor damage on the New South Wales Monaro with the State Emergency Service attending just two jobs at Cooma.
Although some areas received up to 100ml, expected flash flooding did not happen.
But the region's Deputy Controller, Kevin Anderson, says his volunteers were not standing idle.
"We had a team from Cooma and Nimmitabel, a composite team ready to go to Bega on Saturday to assist down there," he said.
"But the locals were able to deal with the storm damage job that they had down there themselves so they didn't end up going."
