Minor floods for FNC

Friday June 29, 2012 - 12:36 EST

Minor flooding is expected around Lismore this afternoon.

The State Emergency Service says up to 150 millimetres of rain has fallen in the area over the last three days.

A minor flood warning for the Wilsons River Valley has been issued by the weather bureau.

Kaylene Jones from the SES says water levels are rising in the Wilsons River and Leycester Creek.

"There's nothing of particular concern to us," she said.

"The bureau's issued a minor flood warning so that will result in obviously some rural inundation and perhaps the need to move some pumps and livestock.

"There is the odd road crossing and causeways that may still water over them that are dangerous, and people need to be very mindful of that."
