Mild Christmas Day for Adelaide

11/12/2008: Adelaide can expect a partly cloudy Christmas Day according to weatherzone.com.au with a maximum temperature around 25 degrees.

"The forecast will be updated daily on our website but at this stage Christmas Day should be fairly mild in Adelaide for this time of year with a likely temperature range of 14 to 25 degrees, two below average. However the lead up to Christmas should be warmer with temperatures above average until about the 23rd," weatherzone.com.au meteorologist Thomas Saunders said.

"Christmas Day looks like being a little cooler than last year when the temperature reached 27," said Saunders.

Adelaide's hottest Christmas Day on record was way back in 1888 when the city hit 42 degrees. The coldest was 17 degrees in 1922.
