July ending on wet note in WA
Brett Dutschke

After a drier than normal June and first half of July nearly all of the Southwest Land Division is getting some welcome rain.
Much of the Division has now had their monthly average rainfall or close to it thanks to several bursts of rain during the last week.
Decent rain is even reaching some recently very dry areas, such as the Southeast Coastal. Salmon Gums and Esperance have not had above average monthly rain in 2008 until now.
Esperance is still 130mm short of its January-to-July average and Salmon Gums is still 70mm short.
Esperance had its driest June on record, 54mm short of the monthly average of 83mm.
More rain is on the way due to a couple more frontal systems linking up with cloudbands before the end of the month.
Perth is a chance to reach its July average of 149mm, needing another 37mm to do so.
