Hot days to follow current cool weather over WA
Thunderstorms currently raging across Western Australia with a deep low pressure trough are bringing cooler, below average days, but by late next week the cool weather will likely feel like a distant memory. Daytime temperatures are currently reaching near or just below average across WA. Places as far north as Geraldton and Carnarvon, which comfortably reach the low to mid 30s most days during this time of the year, will struggle to reach 25 degrees at any point during the weekend. However, days will gradually heat up from Monday as high pressure clears thunderstorms and cloud, also bringing a few cooler mornings. Rapid heating is expected from Wednesday as a deepening trough in the west displaces the high pressure system. By Friday, most inland locations should see temperatures exceeding 35 degrees, even possibly some suburbs in Perth. Luckily, cooler conditions are expected again from about Monday 19th, when a strong cold front and cold circulation in its wake will sweep across the southwestern parts of the state.
