Rain has almost totally cleared from Sydney but a gusty southerly change is due to arrive at about seven o’clock this evening with a few showers. Storms are now unlikely.
This change is unlikely to be strong enough to cause any damage but will increase the chance of showers. Southerlies will ease in the middle of the night and showers are likely to clear early in the morning, possibly even before sunrise.
Tomorrow will be much brighter and drier and winds will have eased.
In stark contrast to yesterday's balmy and sunny 29 degrees most of today was gloomy and rainy and about 17 degrees. About 10 to 20 millimetres of rain fell across Sydney and the catchment last night and today, the most for about a month. The city only had nine millimetres of rain.
