Footy fever isn't the only thing that's going to be hot this weekend. Clear skies and warm temperatures will greet both the AFL grand final in Melbourne on Saturday afternoon and the NRL grand final in Sydney on Sunday evening. Warm air ahead of a low pressure trough will allow temperatures warm up to the 30 degree mark on Saturday afternoon for Melbourne, making for tiring conditions on the field. Similarly, Sydney will warm up to 32 degrees during the day, cooling to around 22 degrees by kickoff. Spectators and players will remain dry at both ANZ Stadium and the MCG leading to a pleasant atmosphere and high quality game play. These warm, dry conditions will stick around until mid week when a cooler change moves through the southeast.
