The Central Goldfields Shire says work to protect its towns from flooding is progressing well.
The Victorian Government confirmed funding yesterday for a flood study at Dunolly and Mayor Barry Rinaldi says a study of Carisbrook is nearing completion.
"The Carisbrook one is now almost ready to be put to the community, so somewhere around the middle of December the residents of Carisbrook will have the opportunity of making a decision as to if their town can be relieved of potential flooding," he said.
