Frost thaws across NSW and VIC
Brett Dutschke

Much of southern New South Wales and inland Victoria is thawing out after its frostiest morning since last winter.
Frost formed across most districts with help from calm, clear weather and dry air in the wake of a colder change on the weekend. Temperatures dipped five to 10 degrees below average overnight.
Places which had their coldest morning since last winter included, Rutherglen and Bombala, which both dipped to minus four degrees, Ballarat, Mangalore and Tatura, which all chilled to minus two and Coldstream and Kanagulk which hit minus one.
For some it was unusually cold for autumn.
Both Tatura and Mangalore had their coldest May morning in 10 years.
Redesdale, which had a colder night last spring, had its coldest May morning in 13 years, dipping to minus two degrees.
Whilst light frost is possible again tonight and Tuesday morning the following few nights and mornings will be largely frost-free.
Wind will be a bit stronger and their will be more cloud with the aid of a couple of weak cold fronts. These fronts will also bring some rain, not much apart from in southwestern Victoria, where more than 10mm is possible.
Much more widespread rain is likely towards the end of the week when a low pressure system crosses the region.
Frost should next return to the region by mid next week, once rain clears and wind eases.
