Fog delays flights at Melbourne Airport

A number of flights in and out of Melbourne Airport were delayed by fog this morning.

Visibility was down to 75 metres and both domestic and international flights were affected.

Melbourne Airport's Carly Dixon said the fog had now cleared and and flights had returned to normal.

"We do have a handful of diversions occurring this morning and the fog's pretty thick out there at the moment," she said.

"Anybody travelling today should check out website so that they've got the most up to date flight information. That will tell them if there's been any delays to their flight outbound," she said.
