Finally some fresh snow heading to the Aussie slopes
Australia's ski resorts are enjoying one of its best starts to the season in years, and strangely it's due to clear skies and light winds.
Each night the snow guns have been blazing snow across the resorts, utilising the cold and dry air that seems to have been stuck under a high pressure system for three weeks.
However, change is brewing in the form of a run of cold fronts kicking off Friday this week.
At this stage the cold fronts look to be reasonably weak, but most days between Friday and the following Wednesday there should be some snow gracing the slopes - not just on the main runs with the guns. It's quite hard to pick how much should arrive from this event, but at this early stage most resorts should gain 10-20cm of snow.
