It was an aptly named Sunday today, with temperatures reaching 28 degrees in the city, and hitting 30 degrees for western Sydney. 

 A very weak seabreeze and increasing cloud will keep the temperatures up overnight, with the eastern suburbs looking to only drop to 16-to-18 degrees overnight. 

On Monday, it will be another warm one. Temperatures throughout the basin should be as high as Sunday, maybe even a few degrees more. 

A gusty southerly change will arrive on Monday afternoon, and it will bring rapid cooling, potentially catching people off-guard.  Along with the cooler temperatures and breezy winds, showers will develop. These showers will tend to rain in the evening, and linger into Tuesday. 

Tuesday will be a cloudy, rainy and cool day, with the daytime temperatures likely to be closer to the mid-teens, potentially warming up once the rain moves away in the afternoon and evening. For the sun-seekers, Thursday will have sunny breaks throughout the day. 

All up, this rain event looks to bringing around 10-30mm, although there is a chance that eastern regions could pick up higher totals. 

This rain will be most welcome, with nearly all of the Sydney basin only recording five millimeters or less of rain so far this month.
