It's going to be a windy 24 hours in South Australia as the second cold front of the week crosses the state's south. A severe weather warning was issued on Wednesday for damaging winds in southern districts to the east of the Lower Eyre Peninsula, including Adelaide. Winds gusts may reach 90km/h in the warning area overnight, mainly with showers and thunderstorm activity. After a turbulent night riddled with showers and storms, South Australia will be buffeted by brisk westerly winds and showers in the wake of the front on Thursday. Damaging winds are again possible during Thursday, most likely in southern districts along exposed coasts, ranges and peninsulas. A flood watch also remains in place for the Mount Lofty Ranges District, where minor flooding may cut off some roads on Thursday. Conditions will ease on Friday as a high pressure system moves over the state from the west.
