Council gets on with flood-hit roads fix
Wednesday September 19, 2012 - 08:40 EST
The Horsham council says it has repaired nearly 150 kilometres of flood-damaged roads in the region.
Last year's floods caused nearly $4 million of damage to roads and the council says about 30 per cent of the municipality's roads still need to be fixed.
Flood recovery manager David Tepper says the repairs have been a massive job for staff.
"As you could imagine, there's a lot to ... go out and have a look at, a lot of assessments to be made, then getting in companies to do all the works, supervision of the those companies," he said.
"It's a major, major task."
