Cold and Wet for the Southeast

As a front pushed through the southeast today it brought a cold wind and showers to VIC, TAS and southern NSW.
Temperatures were generally below average across Victoria today with Melbourne only reaching 12 degrees, slightly below their July average. In the Central district, Wonthaggi only reached a top of 9 degrees, which is 4 below its average.
Most of the rainfall fell through Victoria and in far southern New South Wales. Wonthaggi of the Central district received 14mm, Cape Otway with 7.4mm and Scoresby received 2.2mm. In NSW, Albury received 1.4mm and Green Cape with .8mm.
Snow showers occurred in the Alpine areas of VIC and NSW, with snowfalls reported to be as much as 13cm at some locations. Charlotte Pass received 10cm, Mount Hotham with 7cm and Mount Buller received 13cm.
Showers will clear briefly on Saturday before another front crosses the area on Sunday.
