Clear start to Vivid Sydney
It will be a picture-perfect start to Vivid Sydney as lasers, stars and moonlight illuminate the harbour tonight.
There will be no rain and winds will generally be light, allowing spectators to enjoy in the show without a worry.
However, winds from the south and generally clear skies will make the evening feel a bit colder at times than the mercury suggests.
Mostly clear skies will allow the temperature to drop once the sun goes down, so be sure to layer up if you’re heading into town. From this afternoon’s high of 21 degrees, the mercury will dip to 16 by 8pm and reach an overnight minimum of 12 degrees.
Tomorrow night will be just as nice for those attending the festival, although colder conditions will develop early next week behind a pair of cold fronts.
Vivid Sydney runs from tonight until 17th June and the latest forecasts are available here: http://www.weatherzone.com.au/nsw/sydney/sydney
